Chalk and cheese, Summer and Winter

So we cleared the old veggie patch and have ordered the tank, so now we need to get started on the earthworks. 40 cubic metres of sand!

Need to make some room next to garage for extra storage. Thinking of a lean to down the track

We thought we would start to have a go at lifting the slate just to see how hard or easy it was going to be. Very very messy and noisy but not too hard with the right tools.

Harrison is very busy helping out around the place
So we decided the best spot for our new 200000 Lt water tank is where the old veggie garden was so we have spent the weekend removing the old veggie garden but kept all the stuff so we can redo it somewhere else. The veggie garden consisted of 5 large beds surrounded with corrugated iron and star pickets. This was then surrounded by numerous copper log vertical poles and steel cross poles for shade and netting. There were also 6 large wire gates being used as trellises for tomatoes and beans. The whole area was then surrounded by wire fencing and panels. Now we need to prep the site for the new tank. 😊

The sheep come to say hello in the morning until Tim enticed the around the corner with some treats. Bach wasn’t too sure and thought he might get a better deal if he stayed but eventually the curiosity got the better of him
Part of the preparation for getting ready for the winter rain is to sort out some of these water tanks. The first one has been emptied into another and has been moved out. Next step will be to get the new site ready and then move it to a better spot.

While waiting for the paint to dry in the garage we started the kitchen demo. Here are some pics of the progress so far.
