It might look like it’s all hard work but we still make sure we take time to enjoy the beautiful place we now call home.

Driving around on the mule with the girls and our beautiful grandson checking out the sheep and the chickens.

It has been a while since our last post but we have been very very busy and had a few technical issues with our blog page. As you will see from the recent upload of posts 😊

It was interesting though going back through all of our pictures how much we have achieved in a relatively short time. We always try to do a bit either before or after work and every weekend.

From now on we are going to make a concerted effort to make regular updates.

We have a proper front door

Got the boys up for a big day of brick work. Thanks to Jake, Stephen and Zac for working their butts off until nearly midnight to get it finished.

Removed the old laundry window and bricked it in as well as the old box aircon in the kitchen.

We have a proper front door and entry nook.

Bathroom mini update

May 30 2021

So mini doesn’t mean quick it seems. This bathroom is taking forever but it is slowly getting there

April 5: Time to have a go at painting the blue/grey feature tiles and shower and mirror surrounds basic black.

April 24: Bathroom basin gets a transformation. This took over a week to let each coat dry properly in between.

May 4: Painted vanity top grey to match new colour on the walls and also the shower floor tiles in grey anti slip.

May 30: Bath makeover, blinds and vanity doors and drawers. More pictures to come.

Bring down the Great Wall

The big day is finally here. We are taking down the wall, ripping out the little sliding door and replacing it with the big 4 panel slider and adding in a door for the kitchen.

First step is to get the support beam in place so the roof doesn’t come down.

Now the beam is in we can bash the wall out.

Let’s open up the sliding door and double it.

Adding a new door to go from the kitchen to the future outdoor entertaining area.

Doors have arrived

We had our new doors and window arrive today, minus a couple of items that will arrive in a week or two.

we have received our new kitchen window and 4 panel sliding doors. Our new front door, laundry door and French doors for our bedroom. We are just waiting on the kitchen door and the frame for the French doors.

Prep turns into more demo

We were doing some prep work for the plumber as we needed him to move the gas and change or add some tap spigots for the inside and outside kitchens when we decided that it would be silly not to get him to do the laundry while he was here.
